Position Description:
HistoRx, Inc. has an opening for a Research Associate in the Pharmaceutical Service Department. The staffing expansion is required to support projects for industry clients. These projects involve tissue microarray and attendant analytic processes in the field of tissue biomarkers. Specific hiring dates have not yet been fixed. The work will be under the direction of a senior science team.

Responsibilities: 
Bench level laboratory duties in our Pharma Services, Diagnostics Development, or Basic Research Laboratories supporting the AQUA® automated histology system. Specific responsibilities will vary depending on the focus of the hiring laboratory.

• Requirements:
• BS or MS degree in bioscience, medical technology or a closely related field; or certification in a clinical laboratory discipline of interest to HistoRx which is substantially equivalent;
• Two years of full-time work experience in a bioscience or medical science laboratory, preferably in a commercial environment;
• Knowledge of GLP practices, procedures and documentation requirements;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, good organizational skills, and basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint;
• The ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and to follow protocols faithfully;
• Previous work with whole tissue section and tissue array, immunofluorescence staining, IHC, and statistical analysis a plus; and
• The flexibility to shift work schedules to later or earlier in the normal work day would be a plus.
