Position Description

HistoRx, a leading technology company for multi-parametric tissue biomarker image analysis is seeking an experienced Product Manager to coordinate commercial activities related to its AQUA® product line with specific focus on the pharmaceutical industry sector.  This newly created position, reporting the Vice President of Business Development, will be primarily responsible for collecting and analyzing information related to oncology therapeutics in development and for lead generation for the HistoRx Phamaceutical Services business.  In addition, this position will coordinate with other marketing functions at HistoRx to develop and implement marketing, marcom and launch plans for its AQUA® products including the PM-2000 image analysis system, consumable assay kits and reagents, and services to the pharmaceutical industry.  This multi-faceted position will be outwardly focused but will require extensive interaction between the marketplace and sales, technical marketing and business development functions within HistoRx.  The position which will be located at the HistoRx offices in New Haven, CT requires a motivated individual who can function independently in a fast-paced environment.  The qualified individual will have experience in marketing communications within the biotechnology area. A technical background and the ability to communicate on a technical level are absolute requirements.

Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for:

  • Collecting and analyzing information on pharmaceutical sector drug development pipelines
  • Generating sales leads for Pharmaceutical Services
  • Developing and implementing launch plans for research use only (RUO) immunoassays
  • Development and implementation of a Marketing Communications plan including literature and sale sheets, web site and trade shows
  • Moderate travel (15%) will be required

Minimum Requirements        

  • Bachelor’s degree in the biomedical sciences with product management experience or a business degree with experience in the biotechnology space
  • 2 years of marketing experience
  • Creativity and excellent communication skills
